Out Of Hours please telephone 0113 2371914 and listen to the recorded message. This service is provided by 'Local Care Direct' and is for emergencies only.
Remember that the doctor you call out in the evening or middle of the night will have worked all the day before and will be working the next day so please confine your calls to genuine emergencies.
Make sure you have enough money if you are calling from a phone-box.
To contact a doctor out of hours always telephone the surgery first and your call will be transferred to the out of hours service.
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
